Winter is a bit warmer for the patients at Ithembalethu Outreach Project, thanks to the generosity of the Gift of the Givers Foundation.
The Estcourt team visited adult patients in Wembezi, Colita and Rensburgdrift recently, where 400 food hampers and blankets were distributed.
This is part of the foundation’s Winter Warmth Campaign, which is rolled out nationally.
“The enthusiasm and appreciation were evident from the stunning show of song and dance at each drop-off point, even though the recipients were unaware of the hampers that were to come. They were extremely grateful for the hampers and blankets, and showed their appreciation with thank-you letters which were well-received,” said Gift of the Givers community liaison Jaaved Khan.
