The N3 and N11 are now open to traffic, as ‘recovery’ operations have been completed.
These routes were closed due to trucks being set alight in the early hours of this morning (July 9).
The southbound lanes on the N3 are open, accommodating both directions of traffic using contraflow. (The northbound carriageway towards Johannesburg will remain closed until repairs can be completed to the road surface)
