IFP’s Cllr Madondo sworn in after winning by-election

He was sworn into office at a council meeting that was held ‘virtually’

Alfred Duma Local Municipality recently welcomed newly-elected Ward 29 councillor, Bongani Madondo.

Cllr Madondo won the by-election and was sworn into office during a council meeting that was held ‘virtually’ on Tuesday (July 4).

Alfred Duma Mayor Zama Sibisi, together with council, congratulated the newly-elected councillor.

They also wished him all the best in executing his duties as a community leader.

“May he have a fruitful term of office serving our communities,” said the mayor.

Mayor Sibisi added that, being a local resident, Cllr Madondo has the responsibility of ensuring that dignified services are delivered to the residents of uMhlumayo
