Stock theft suspect nabbed after shooting at livestock owners

The alleged stock thief was found with a firearm, and was charged with attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm.

A stock theft suspect was arrested in the Wasbank area after shooting at livestock owners who were looking for their cattle.
The complainants (livestock owners) said that all the ‘leads’ pointed them towards the suspect’s homestead. They got hold of the suspect after he ran out of ammunition, and he was handed over to the Glencoe K9 Unit.
The alleged stock thief was found with a firearm, and was charged with attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
He is set to appear in the Glencoe Magistrate’s Court.
