Sewer water keeps on gushing out
Businessmen are saying that the smell is chasing their customers away
Sewer water has been gushing out of a manhole all morning (June 28) in front of a property in Harrismith Road.
The dirty waste water is giving off a foul smell that is affecting people and businesses in the area.

Business owner Mr Hansa Bharath, whose premises is situated close by, says this sewer leak has been on-and-off for months now. He has contacted uThukela several times, but no one has come to sort out the problem.
“This has affected my business terribly. There is another water leak underground and both leaks are making the soil muddy. One weekend, we had to push a customer’s vehicle out because it got stuck in the mud,” he added.
