Potholes get worse and worse

Residents can't understand why the 'powers that be' don't act

Frustrated residents say it’s ‘pothole heaven’ at the corner of Diamana and Residency Road.

There are multiple gaping craters on both sides of the road, with tiny gravel stones all over the place, making it extremely problematic for motorists.

The jagged holes in the tarmac fill up with water when it rains, making them difficult to see, especially at night. Residents say that vehicles are being damaged and it’s an accident waiting to happen.

“The matter has been reported countless times, but no attempt has been made to remedy the problem. A new pothole forms every second day, but nothing is ever done about this steadily worsening situation. Why is it that our complaints fall on deaf ears? Our municipality is failing us dismally,” said one unhappy resident of the area.
