Members of AGS Lofdal Kerk set up a marquee outside De Francas SPAR on Saturday, where they cooked up delicious hamburgers to sell.
The aim was to raise much-needed funds for the church by satisfying the hunger pangs of early-morning shoppers at the supermarket in Francis Road.
The aroma of sizzling burger patties and onions was simply too much to resist for some, who gladly parted with their cash to have their taste buds tantalized.

Not only did the intrepid cooks prepare yummy hamburgers with all the trimmings, they also used the opportunity to spread the Word of God.
“We are grateful for the opportunity that was given to us and would like to thank De Francas SPAR for allowing us the use of their facilities,” said a smiling Pastor Ruben.
