Newcastle Mall to host Charity Fundraiser Golf Day

Residents and businesses are invited to support the Newcastle Mall’s Charity Golf Day in aid of St Martin’s Village.

The Newcastle Mall has long been a friend to its community with frequent initiatives run to uplift people in the area.

Now the popular shopping center is taking this support further by hosting a charity golf day, scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 10, in aid of St. Martin’s Village Children’s Home.

The golf day will take place at the Newcastle Golf Club, featuring a better ball format with a shotgun start at 10:00.

In addition to the festivities planned to take place on the field, the day will include live musical entertainment by local sensation Reuben Classen, kids’ activities and a charity auction, with various exciting prizes on offer.

The main prize is a three-night stay at the sought-after Cabana Beach Resort in Umhlanga, inclusive of a petrol voucher, with a total value of R6 000.

Entries for a round on the day are R250 per player, inclusive of lunch, with hole and table sponsorships on offer to companies wishing to support the project.

All funds raised will be donated to St. Martin’s Village.

This non-profit organization provides temporary safe-care, foster care, and adoptive care for abandoned, abused, and traumatized children and babies in the area throughout the year and is dependent on funds raised to continue its work.

“The team at St. Martin’s Village does incredible work that is much needed by these little lives.” said Beulah Rajkumar, Marketing Manager of Newcastle Mall. “The Newcastle Mall Golf Day provides a fun way to support their efforts while simply enjoying a round of golf,” she concluded.
