The N3 towards Van Reenen is now open to traffic after a protest action took place this morning (May 28) by community members who were allegedly protesting against a person’s arrest.
They burnt tyres and blocked the road. Public Order Police (POP) arrived on scene and the protesters dispersed.
According to officials on scene, they said that law enforcement services will continue to monitor the area.

“We appreciate the patience of road-users and the assistance received from all road incident management services,” said N3 Toll Concession (N3TC) operations manager Thania Dhoogra.
