Sentraal enjoy another romp against the Highlanders

Sentraal dotted down six tries with Anele, Steps, Sizwe, London, van Zyl and Kotze crashing over. Van Zyl was successful with three conversions.

Sentraal again put a Newcastle Highlanders team to the sword in a NKZN rugby league game played at the Dundee High grounds on Saturday.
The hosts ran out 36-7 winners after storming to a 24-0 lead at the break. This time the Highlanders appeared to bring in their big gun coaches following last week 88-0 defeat of their third team to Sentraal.

The Highlanders tightened up in the second half and put Sentraal under pressure. They did manage one try and a conversion but conceded two breakaway tries to the men in blue and white.
There was also an emotional farewell after the game after Sentraal stalwart, Eugene Corbitt (41), finally hung up his boots after 25 years service to the club.
His team mates hoisted him on their shoulders while Eugene took off his boots. A drink was poured into one boot from which he drank. “I had great fun playing for Sentraal but now that I am leaving Dundee for a new job, it is time to say goodbye,”he said.
On Saturday, Sentraal travel to Newcastle to play the Bears.
