Exposed electrical cables pose a danger

Residents are worried that their children will be electrocuted

Residents are frustrated and concerned about exposed electrical cables opposite 18 Kleinman Crescent.

The matter dates back to March 2022 when municipal workers were fixing a burst pipe. A grader went over the electricity box, breaking the cover. The municipality was contacted on the day after an explosion that was allegedly caused by the damage done to the box.

However, over a year has gone by and the cables are still sticking out.

“This is very unsafe, especially seeing as we have children who play outside in the area. The box is 220 volts, which is extremely dangerous. Someone could get electrocuted and killed. We have complained to the municipality, but nothing has been done to fix the problem,” fumed a resident of Kleinman Crescent.
