Plus-size model, actress and entrepreneur Nonkululeko Madondo (43) is a finalist in this year’s Mrs Grand South Africa pageant.
Madondo is from Colenso, where she established her non-profit organisation called the Angiyukweswela Therapy Foundation, which focuses on gender equality, helping men who have been victims of abuse, and couples coaching programmes.
She is vying for the Mrs Grand SA crown because she feels that with this title, she can make a difference.
She wishes to convey the message that women do not need to be skinny to be a model and as a plus-size,
you can be just as beautiful as a thin person.
