Fire hydrant valve stolen on Beaconsfield Street

Please use caution as you travel this morning.

It’s a splashy Wednesday morning on Beaconsfield Street as water flows down the street from a stolen fire hydrant valve (near the Mews).

This is the third such incident this week in Dundee. The brass is sold for scrap.

Meanwhile, residents cashed in on the free water by rushing to the corner of Gladstone and Beaconsfield Streets with their containers.
