Shocking condition of Shearer Road

Motorists play dodgem cars with all the potholes dotting the road surface

Motorists and residents are frustrated by the condition of Shearer Road, which they say is appalling.

The road is rugged with loose chippings, which results in potholes forming all over the place. This makes it a nightmare to drive along, as motorists constantly have to worry about their tyres thudding down into one of the holes and doing damage to the vehicle’s wheel alignment.

“This road is very problematic because workers come and it seems to get fixed, but the repair work doesn’t last and it’s back to square one again – maybe even worse than before, which is very frustrating. The awful part is that there is a school close by,” said one motorist.
