Handing out water to the community

Grateful residents thank both organisations for their kindness

Local resident Rakhee ‘Tilly’ Meyer was seen yesterday (March 8) helping the community by distributing water. She went around with the Ladysmith Islamic Welfare truck that belongs to the Gift of the Givers Foundation.

She also helped the Al-Imdaad Foundation by directing their water tanker.

This morning (March 9), residents woke up to ‘dry taps’ once again. It is unknown at this stage why there is no water. Should water not return by this evening, Meyer will make more trips with the trucks.
