Sweet specials and music maestros at Eventide bazaar

SAVF Eventide manager Karen Glasgow thanks all those who donated, assisted or supported in making the bazaar such a big success.

The days of lockdown seemed very far away indeed when SAVF Eventide Home hosted their bazaar at the sunny NG Kerk grounds on Saturday morning.
The meat that was going ‘for a song’ was eagerly snapped up, while others gathered under the shelter to enjoy tea, coffee and something sweet – making time to catch up with old friends.
Local music maestro Johnny Brayshaw and son Boeta were on hand to provide the background music, which was all (of course) strictly pre-1990.
SAVF Eventide manager Karen Glasgow thanks all those who donated, assisted or supported in making the bazaar such a big success.
“A special thank you to Johann du Plessis, but also to every service management member, plus my staff, for the support and teamwork.
“It seems we have raised more than previous years, but we are still waiting on the final amount.
“A little bit of kindness goes a long way,” said Karen.
