Help needed to further business studies in America

''Despite my financial challenges, I remain determined to be a formidable asset and embody the change I wish to see not only in my impoverished community but also in the country’s economic development.”

Citizen Mbatha is a young man from the small village of Stanela in Vryheid.
He has been admitted to Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts (USA), to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration; and awarded a $26,000 merit-based scholarship renewable for four years. Although this is an incredibly large sum of money, he says he still needs to source additional funding to cover all the other expenses such as board and lodging, insurance and so forth.

“As someone who hails from an underprivileged background in a rural area, I have always been passionate about pursuing a degree in Business Studies. Having experienced first-hand the negative impact of unemployment, which is currently a crisis in South Africa, I strongly believe that contributing to economic development isn’t solely reliant on finding jobs in metropolitan areas, but also establishing business ventures in non-metropolitan areas such as my rural area. Despite my financial challenges, I remain determined to be a formidable asset and embody the change I wish to see not only in my impoverished community but also in the country’s economic development.”

Mbatha says this is the second time he has been fortunate to be awarded a partial scholarship to study in America. The New York Film Academy awarded him a $9000 talent-based scholarship in 2016 while he was completing his degree in Drama at TUT (Tswane University of Technology). Unfortunately, despite getting hold of Arts & Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa, that opportunity slipped through his fingers due to lack of financial assistance.
Now he again hopes to get potential sponsors / donors to contribute towards his education in America. He is pleading with anyone who can help to contact him on 073 339 3858/060 315 5051.
