Beware of sinkhole in Colita

Residents are advised to steer clear of the sinkhole that has formed on Sagittarius Road in Colita.

Ward 10 Councillor Edith Lite advised residents this morning (March 1) to use Jennings Road as an alternate route to get to Trench Town.

According to the local municipality, they have just been made aware of the sinkhole and are “following it up.”

A sinkhole is a depression or hole in the ground caused by some form of collapse of the surface layer and usually occurs when water dissolves the surface rock.
