The latest on the flooding in the CBD

The water level has dropped, both in the streets and the Klip River

Today (February 19) marks three days since flooding began in the Ladysmith CBD.

The rain has stopped, at least for the time being, and the water seems to be subsiding.

However, roads in the low-lying CBD area such as Lyell, Queen and King Street remain closed.

The level of the Klip River also seems to have dropped now that rain is no longer falling.
