Water cuts due to repairs in Ezakheni

uThukela District Municipality has issued a statement to inform the public that repairs are being carried out to the pumps at the Ezakheni Water Treatment Works.

uThukela say that the constant rainfall experienced over the past few days has compounded the situation, as the plant is now silted up.

A service provider is currently on-site, trying to remove the silt from the sumps.

As a result, certain areas are likely to be affected by water interruptions. These areas include: Ezakheni, Acaciavale, the ‘old’ Ladysmith area and parts of Steadville.
