Substation to be up-and-running soon
The municipality says that power will be back by Friday, or Saturday at the latest
The Jantha Street substation that blew up on Saturday (February 4) is currently being fixed by electricians.
According to the municipality, the machinery arrived from Pretoria and staff are working on the issue.
If everything goes according to plan, everyone will have power by tomorrow (Friday, February 10). If not, then by Saturday at the very latest.

People are urged to be patient, as the wait for electricity in affected areas is almost over.
