Beware of municipal job scam

A job scam is doing the rounds on social media, concerning a fake job at Alfred Duma Local Municipality. 

According to the municipality, it has come to their attention that scam artists are asking desperate people for money and promising them jobs at Alfred Duma.

Residents are warned to beware of these ‘fake posts’ on social media.

The municipality explains that they always advertise vacant posts via the correct mediums.

A municipal spokesperson advised that no one should be duped into paying someone for a job, as this is always a scam. Jobs at the municipality never involve payment from the person who is applying.
