The R616 heading towards Acton Homes has been blocked by protesters this morning (January 25).
Officials on scene have closed the road for the safety of motorists.
The protest is linked to water shortages in the area.

However, the R103 is open. The protest in this area is ‘on and off’, so it remains to be seen whether this road will again be blocked by angry community members.
