Parts of town without power and water
The municipality will only be able to advise when electricity will be back on once they find the problem
This afternoon (January 19), electricity went down in many parts of town. Areas such as Modelkloof, Hospital Park, Van Riebeeck Park and Observation Hill are currently without electricity.
According to a source municipality is looking for the problem we they are unware as to why there is no power.

Electrians are currently on site and attending to the issue.
uThukela has advised that the Ladysmith bulk purification plant has also been affected by the power failure.
The following areas are likely to have low to no water pressure: Roosboom, Van Riebeeck Park, Observation Hill, Limit Hill and
Modelkloof.
