Dundee Crime: Murder victim found stabbed in the neck

The victim, who had been earlier reported missing, has been identified.

The body of a man who had been stabbed to death was found near Blessing Store on the Nquthu road on Saturday afternoon.
Police say that a passerby found the body and contacted the authorities. The victim, who had been earlier reported missing, has been identified. He had suffered a stab wound to the neck.
An accident on the R33 on Saturday claimed the lives of four people.
Police said the driver of a Toyota lost control of the vehicle when trying to avoid a stray cow about 10km from Dundee. The vehicle was travelling from Msinga to Dundee at the time.
Two passengers died at the scene, while another two died later in Dundee Hospital.
A Toyota was stolen from Stratford Farm over the weekend and at the time of going to press, had not been recovered.
Dundee SAPS have also reported a surge in burglaries over the past week, with criminals using load-shedding to break into homes and steal valuables such as laptops, cellphones and jewellery. Police have again appealed to residents to up their vigilance and ensure that all valuables are put away at all times.
