Local karateka receive awards at annual prize-giving
Urav (12) received a trophy for best kumite 2022, while Iman (who is also 12) received a spirit trophy.
The Northern Natal KZN JKA held its annual prize-giving and final grading for the year on Saturday, December 3, in Newcastle.
Urav Buldoo and Iman Joosub graded and received their brown belts, while Urav obtained a brown 1 belt and Iman obtained a brown 2 belt.

Special thanks to their dojo head and teacher, Vishen Boonpetsadh, for his expert tuition.
Urav and Iman believe that it’s not about being the best, but about being better than you were yesterday.
