Uniting to end gender-based violence
Various stakeholders joined hands to support the 16 Days of Activism
To show solidarity for the ’16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children’ campaign, various stakeholders were part of an awareness march in Ntabamhlophe on December 2.
Ntabamhlophe police joined forces with the Health, Correctional Services and Community Safety & Liaison departments, as well as the local branch of the Community Policing Forum.
Learners from local schools also showed their support by being part of the march. They marched to the KwaDlamini Community Hall, where an educational event was held.
“The attendees were educated on topics related to gender-based violence and the purpose of the ’16 Days of Activism’ campaign, among others. The event was well attended,” commented police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan.
