Families and friends gathered at Battlefields Pub & Grub on December 3 for a day of fun and festive cheer. The annual Potjie Competition was supported by eight teams that cooked up a storm in the hope of being crowned winners.

After a simmering round of competition, Team Drinker Bells (comprising Ilsa Ramsey and Narina Campher) were the winners of the Potjie Competition. They also received an award for the best team spirit.

Also incorporated into the day was a toy drive. Each person was asked to bring a new or pre-loved toy, which will be donated to Midlands Orphanage & Care Centre (Ikhaya Lethu) in Colenso by the members of the Estcourt Ladies’ Circle and a total of 150 toys were collected.
The Estcourt Ladies’ Circle would like to thanks the sponsors and everyone who attended and supported their first event. The members are looking forward to hosting other fund-raising events in the future.
