DA calls for action to end gender-based violence
The message was loud and clear: “No to GBV”
Members of the local Democratic Alliance (DA) branch took to the streets today (December 7) to show their support for the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children.
Members gathered at the corner of Connor and Lorne streets with placards condemning gender-based violence (GBV) before they marched to Victoria Street.
Here passing locals were encouraged to sign a petition calling for President Cyril Ramaphosa to act decisively to bring an end to gender-based crime.
