District municipality workers are picketing outside the uThukela offices in Forbes Street/ Lyell Street this morning (December 6). According to reports, they are on strike.
The road is currently closed and Public Safety, along with police, are on scene to monitor the situation.
Residents are advised to urgently store water, as it is uncertain whether the water supply will go off.

It is also not known when the strike will be over.
DA Councillor Thys Janse van Rensburg says they are trying to get more information as to what is going on and will update the newspaper as soon as he receives feedback.
