Joy Crèche in Durnacol is in need of financial help after a wall collapsed following heavy rain.
Crèche chairperson Nondumiso Buthelezi said the toilet and roof were damaged when the wall fell down on November 11.
“We cater for 60 children and are a non-profit organisation. For 20 years, we have been looking after the local children and are much-loved by the community,” Buthelezi said.
She added that the crèche’s premises is no longer conducive to learning and teaching. She concluded by saying that the crèche has no funds to repair the damage and therefore appeals to the community at large for donations.
