No water in some areas

Ladysmith residents are still being affected by the ongoing water shortages in and around town

Some areas in Ladysmith are still experiencing water shortages. Residents in suburbs including Rose Park and Leonardsville woke up to dry taps today (December 3).

Ward 10 Councillor Xolani Mngadi said this has been going on for quite some time now and there has been little to no communication from uThukela.

“We are not clear what the reason is for the water shortages. I have tried to call uThukela senior managers in the water department, but that has been unsuccessful, as they are not answering their phones,” said a fuming Mngadi.

uThukela’s communications department has been sent questions regarding the matter, but they have not replied as yet. We will update you as soon as comment is received.
