CPF patrollers fight crime

The group will be conducting more patrols in the future

21 volunteers from the Ladysmith branch of the Community Policing Forum (CPF) donned bright-yellow neon bibs and stood on parade at Ladysmith police station on Friday morning (November 25).

The enthusiastic group, comprising both men and women of different ages, was briefed by senior officers from the police station. They then descended on the CBD, where they conducted patrols.

The Ladysmith station commander, Brigadier TM Mngadi, says the community of Ladysmith should become used to this sight, but moreover requests that community members work with and support them.
