The national results of the South African Maths Olympiad were announced recently.
Sarel Cilliers High School was the top-performing school in Quintile 4 in KwaZulu-Natal in both the Junior and Senior category.
Iesayvaani Kali was the winner in the Junior category and Melusi Masondo the winner in the Senior category.
Congratulations to both of you for excelling in an extremely difficult test of mathematical prowess.
Matric learners Melusi Masondo and Mesuli Masondo joined English teacher Miss Layland to record lessons on two of the English Home Language poems which are part of the Grade 12 curriculum. Neutral Radio FM will be airing the lessons before the learners write English Home Paper 2.
Hopefully this can assist learners in the district.
This was a big, most enjoyable exercise and hopefully Sarel Cilliers can collaborate with Neutral Stereo FM to record more of the curriculum.

Mesuli Masondo.
