Successful book drive at Uelzen

There were special prizes for the learners who donated the most books.

Uelzen Primary School had a very successful Book Drive recently, which was part of their 125-year celebrations.
It all began from August 18 to October 14, with pupils donating a whopping 600 books that will be going into the school library. There were special prizes for the learners who donated the most books. Third place went to McKenzie and Carter Klüsener (Grade 2), who donated 44 books; second place was scooped by Skyla Banks (Grade 3), who donated 63 books; and the winner with 81 books was Vernon Emslie (Grade R). The winning classes were: first – Grade R with 152 books; second – Grade 3 with 138 books; and third – Grade 2 with 69 books.
Uelzen would like to thank Mrs A Klüsener, who initiated the 125-year book drive and donated all the prizes.
