The correct way to lodge a formal complaint at Dundee Hospital

Should you be dissatisfied with the outcome, lodge your complaint at the district or provincial office (Umzinyathi Health District Office) or call centre on 034 299 9100.

Dundee Hospital has explained how the public should go about lodging a formal complaint (or suggestion)…
Hospital public relations officer (PRO) Dumisile Mkhonza said there are three ways to do this.
“The first one is to do it verbally by approaching the official responsible for managing complaints, compliments or suggestions – which is me. My office is located at the Outpatient Department and my number is 072 722 5455. The second approach can be done in writing – fill in the prescribed form that is available next to the designated box or from the responsible official. The form will guide you on the information needed,” she explained.
She added that the form should then be handed over to her or placed in the box provided to post complaints and compliments.
Thirdly, you can ask a family member or friend to submit a complaint, compliment or suggestion on your behalf in writing or verbally. Dumisile further explained that the complaints will be acknowledged within five working days, thereafter investigated and resolved, and redress conducted within 25 days.
“Should the case require more time for investigation, updates will be provided. Should you be dissatisfied with the outcome, lodge your complaint at the district or provincial office (Umzinyathi Health District Office) or call centre on 034 299 9100.”
She concluded by saying that if your complaint is urgent, give it to her directly, as the boxes will only be opened every Monday at midday.
