Municipality hands over new machinery

The two new machines will be used to carry out road maintenance projects, as well as storm-water management in the area

Ladysmith residents will soon be travelling on better roads due to Alfred Duma Local Municipality’s plan to rehabilitate and maintain gravel roads in the area. To this effect, new machinery was handed over to the Technical Department team yesterday (Wednesday, November 2).

In an effort to speed up service delivery, through the Mayoral Office, the municipality handed over brand-new ‘yellow plant’ machines in the form of an excavator and a TLB. The machinery will be used to ensure that the municipality’s road rehabilitation process becomes a reality and a success.

“The municipality has noted numerous complaints from the public about roads and is now responding.

“Our intention is to provide accessible roads and at this point, we felt the need for this kind of machinery to accomplish our duty to provide safe and quality roads. Through your trust in our leadership, good service will be delivered,” is the message from Alfred Duma Local Municipality.
