Top achievers grace Sarel Cilliers High School prize-giving ceremony

The school held their annual Grade 12 academic prize-giving last Thursday evening, with former top scholar and now businessman Peter Hellberg as the special guest.

The Sarel Cilliers girls’ cricket team was excited to have the opportunity to travel to Pongola on Friday to compete.
This is the first year the girls have been playing cricket and it was a great opportunity for them to learn more about the ins and outs of the game.
The first match was rained out on Saturday morning, with the girls then losing their second match.
However, they still had the opportunity to receive some valuable coaching and to watch top players in action.
The weekend was a great learning opportunity and the team is determined to improve and to carry on with the girls’ cricket side next year.
The school thanks Steven Joubert and Mrs Joubert for accompanying the girls.
