Education MEC visits N11 roadblock

More roadblocks are planned to ensure safety on the roads

RTI chief provincial inspector (Ladysmith) Dave Steele welcomed KZN MEC for Education Mbalenhle Cleopatra Frazer at a roadblock on the N11 just past Modelkloof this morning (October 27).

MEC Frazer looked on as the traffic officials carried out their duties, and said she was happy with what she saw.

Officials inspected passing vehicles and issued fines for expired licences, as well as other traffic offences.

Ladysmith police helped out at the roadblock.

The reason why the MEC for Education visited the roadblock is because she holds a portfolio in transport and wants to be actively involved.

Mr Steele was also pleased with how well the roadblock turned out.
