Damaged road surface angers residents

Motorists say the road is damaging their cars and residents say their cries for help are never heard

Residents of First Lane are up in arms about the state of their street.

Motorists are also complaining, saying that the damaged road surface is bad for their cars.

“Vehicles find it difficult to travel on the road because of the bumps and uneven tar that is turning into gravel,” commented one resident who wishes to remain anonymous.

According to those who live in First Lane, it has been months since they complained to the municipality, but nothing has been done about the situation.

“No one bothers to complain or report issues like this in the neighbourhood anymore, because our pleas just seem to fall on deaf ears,” lamented one homeowner who stays in the area.
