Writing is a way to countless adventures and wisdom. This year for the second year around, St Dominics Newcastle learners were Bold, Creative and Original while participating in the Curro Foundation Writing Competition!

“We held a special assembly to celebrate with our creative writers and to congratulate them on the original writing pieces. Only five entries were selected to go forward to the Curro National Writing Competition,” explained Mrs Leonie Meyer of the Foundation Phase.

There were 2 905 Grade R’s, 4 307 Grade 1’s, 4 137 Grade 2 and 4 256 Grade 3 participators.

“Although we did not place in the first three top positions, we are very proud of the standard of writing.”
