Ntabamhlophe muso goes international

Prince Chonco is flying his hometown flag high

International travelling evangelist Prince Chonco says he was predestined for greatness and ‘remains victorious’.

As an inspirational and motivational speaker, Chonco is from Ntabamhlophe and was raised by his mother, Ntombifuthi Zakwe, to whom he attributes most of his success.

The upcoming artist’s gospel song ‘Behold the Lamb of God’ is making waves not only in this country but also in Turkey, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Australia, Nigeria and the United States.

After making the right connections in the industry, Chonco was introduced to movie editor Encore Daca. Chonco found himself seated in the Daca household and to his surprise, there was a recording studio.

Their partnership churned out sweet melodies, which has cemented a place for Chonco in the music industry.

He has been nominated at a music awards in Cape Town for ‘Best Public Speaker’, ‘Best Songwriter’ and ‘Best Worship Song’. His music career was taken to greater heights when he was appointed as an ambassador for the Nigerian Reggae Festival during August this year, which gave him the opportunity to pave the way for more South African musicians to perform in Nigeria.
