Dundee High School (DHS) would like to congratulate Kiandri Bierbaum on being selected to play for the KZN Inland U/16 cricket team, even though she is only in Grade 8.
Her swinging deliveries not only bowled over the Inland selectors, but she also picked up numerous wickets throughout the season in the NKZN U/15 league.
Ons is baie trots op wat sy bereik het in hierdie kort rukkie en ons wag met asems opgehou vir die dag wat sy die groen en goud aan het van die Proteas. Welgedaan, Kiandri.
Heritage Day celebrations
On Friday, the Grade 11 group hosted very successful Heritage Day celebrations.
They had food stalls where various favourites were sold. With traditional dances and the smell of a good braai lingering in the air, the learners and educators were privileged to enjoy themselves in proudly South African style.
DHS’s annual golf day
On Saturday, DHS hosted their second annual golf day.
Dundee Country Club had a busy field, with over 60 players competing for the win.
With various novelty holes and many enthusiastic Grade 11 learners raising funds for the golfers and the SPCA, we can conclude that it was indeed a great success with plenty of fun.
DHS would like to congratulate Mrs D Catlett for winning the day on 43 points, Mr S Kalideen for taking the longest drive for men, and T Grierson the longest drive for ladies. Thanks to all the players, educators and sponsors who showed their support and helped make a success of the day.
