Dundee Athletics Club holds first run to raise much-needed funds

Club founder Njabulo Buthelezi explained that the main aim of the club is to keep the youth off the streets by keeping them busy on the running track.

Local athletes enjoyed a 10km run over the weekend to raise funds for the newly-formed Dundee Athletics Club.
Club founder Njabulo Buthelezi explained that the main aim of the club is to keep the youth off the streets by keeping them busy on the running track.
“As a new club, we are in need of sponsorship to raise funds so that we can continue to exist and also have our own kit,” said Buthelezi.
He added that the next run will be on October 29 and hopes that more members of the community will come and join them.
Buthelezi would also like to thank all the sponsors for helping to make the event such a success and hopes that more come on board in the future as the club holds events to motivate the youth to engage in constructive activities.
