The Ladysmith SAPS Visible Policing and Social Crime units recently conducted random searches at local schools.

Officers recovered bags of dagga at one of the schools. The drugs appear to have been abandoned.



Yesterday morning (September 20), the team conducted a search at a school in the Roosboom area.

They used the opportunity to also conduct an awareness campaign regarding issues such as the negative effects of having a criminal record, dangerous weapons, the ill-effects of substance abuse, and bullying at schools.
