LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Umzinyathi mayor must step down

The mayor of Umzinyathi needs to step down because clearly he doesn't know what he is doing in that office.

Editor –
This past weekend was the worst for Endumeni residents, as we all didn’t have water. Some areas didn’t have water from Friday, especially in Glencoe. Umzinyathi District Municipality has this town on its knees and it’s only a matter of time before the entire municipality collapses.
What kind of district municipality is this, where every community under their jurisdiction is complaining about water shortages?
I was unable to contain my anger when I saw a post on their Facebook page that blames the water shortages on the recent load-shedding.
Wasbank and KwaSithole communities didn’t have water way before load-shedding. UDM is now using load-shedding as an excuse.
The mayor of Umzinyathi needs to step down because clearly he doesn’t know what he is doing in that office.
