Despite the inclement weather conditions on August 19 and 20, Iskcon Estcourt celebrated two successful festivals in honour of Krsna Janmastami and the Birth Anniversary of the founder of the Hare Krishna Movement, AC Bhakitivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.
Janmastami commenced in the early hours of the morning and carried on until midnight.
The temple was ‘ablaze’ with various devotional activities such as cradle rocking, fruit and lamp offerings, and the distribution of holy parsad.
The worship of Gomata took place and the evening festivities were alive with kirtans, arati, open discussions and the watching of a movie.
The Birth Anniversary of Srila Prabhupada was celebrated with similar enthusiasm and excitement.
Iskcon Estcourt management conveys its heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all devotees, sponsors, friends and guests for making these auspicious events a huge success.
