A business at the corner of Harding and Ayliff Streets in the CBD has been completely gutted, after a fire broke out at the building earlier this afternoon.
According to officials at the scene, the fire appears to have started at one premises and spread to the next.
All emergency personnel including SAPS, security companies and the local Fire Services are currently at the scene, attempting to contain the fire. There is concern that the flames may still spread.
Motorists and shoppers have been advised to avoid the area until further notice, as the roadway is closed.
