Walton’s Clinic holds breastfeeding awareness campaign

Through a loudhailer, mothers were encouraged to breastfeed

The medical staff at Walton’s Clinic held a breastfeeding awareness campaign today (August 26).

August 1 to 7 is Breastfeeding Promotion Week internationally and it was for this reason that the local clinic staff took some time to educate the community.

As part of the awareness campaign, the staff members, led by Sister Mthethwa, marched through the CBD holding placards aloft. The aim of the campaign is to promote and support breastfeeding across different levels of society.
