IFP Youth Brigade visits schools

30 school uniforms were donated to needy learners during the campaign

The Inkatha Freedom Party Youth Brigade (IFPYB) in  Indaka / Mnambithi, led by chairperson Cllr Ntuthuko Thabede, recently visited Ntonjeni High School and Magwababa High School.

The aim was to motivate the learners and also enlighten them on career paths they can pursue after matric.

Different stakeholders were part of this initiative, including Standard Bank and Vodacom.

Guest speakers included IFPYB National Chairperson and Member of Parliament Sithembiso Zondo, vibrant ‘house’ music artist Dlala Mshunqisi and iconic actor Thaboka Mnguni (who plays Pastor Mbatha in the popular SABC 1 series ‘Uzalo’).

Speaking after the event, Cllr Thabede said they are happy to have started this initiative on the right foot. “We are committed to making education fashionable and we are willing to help where we can in order to motivate  the learners,” said Thabede.

He also thanked all the stakeholders who helped to make the campaign a success.
